Kayla Miller

Kayla Miller was born in upstate New York where she began her dancing at the age of 5 at New Paltz School of Ballet under the direction of Lisa and Peter Naumann, previous company members of the New York City Ballet. After moving to Florida, Kayla trained at Florida Ballet Arts Academy under the direction of MaryElizabeth Mock and was part of their pre-professional company.

Kayla attended the University of Florida and joined a student-run dance organization on campus called Extreme Dance Company. During her time with Extreme, Kayla choreographed ballet, jazz, contemporary, and musical theatre for Extreme’s semi-annual productions. She became the president of Extreme her senior year of college and graduated from the University of Florida with a BA in Parks Recreation and Tourism. Kayla was a company member with Tampa Ballet Theatre and has performed as a guest artist for various productions in the Tampa Bay Area. Kayla has 

performed numerous roles in classical ballets including; Swan Lake, Cinderella, Don Quijote, Paquita, Coppelia, Raymonda, Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, and Firebird. Her favorite roles include; Dew Drop in The Nutcracker, Helena in A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Belle in Beauty and the Beast.
