

Charles Java
Originally from Fairport NY, Charles Java began his dance studies at the Fitzsimmons Dance Factory with Lauri Meyer Lucas. He holds a BFA in Dance Performance from Towson University where his studies continued under the director of Dennis Price and Catherine Horta-Hayden, among others.
Mr. Java has performed with Bowen McCauley Dance, Nicholas Andre Dance Theater, Le Troupe Liddell, Jazz Choreography Enterprises, and Tampa Ballet Theatre. He has performed internationally in Mexico and Germany as well as at the Ailey Citigroup Theater, Manhattan Movement & Arts Center, Dance Theatre Workshop, and the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. His performance highlights include: Dougala by Geoffrey Holder, Blue ‘n’ Gold by Stephen Greenston, Airs by Paul Taylor, Nine Love Songs and a Bucket of Tears
