Alyssa Taylor

Originally from Annandale, Virginia, Alyssa Taylor received her early training at the Metropolitan Ballet Theatre under the direction of Susan Blazey and Virginia Ballet Company and School under the direction of Tania Rousseau and Oleg Tupine. Upon graduating high school Alyssa attended the University of Oklahoma where she earned a B.F.A. in Ballet Performance. While at the University of Oklahoma she was able to work with Kathleen Tracy, Zippora Karz and Bruce Wells. She also performed in Concerto Barocco, Serenade, and Bruce Wells’ Les Patineurs. After graduating Alyssa joined the Ballet Theatre of Maryland where she has performed many roles including Carabosse in The Sleeping Beauty, Hippolyta in A Midsummer Night's Dream, an ugly stepsister in Cinderella, the Kotscheia in The Firebird, and Dew Drop, Rat Queen and lead Arabian in The Nutcracker. Then moving to Florida Alyssa joined Tampa Ballet Theatre where she performed as the Sugar Plum fairy and Dew Drop in The Nutcracker, Myrta in Giselle, a Mermaid in Peter Pan, and as a soloist in Les Sylphides.Alyssa is excited to be joining Coastal Ballet of Florida for their inaugural season.
